Vandlet Investments Limited ("Vandlet", "we", "us") is an accounting and advisory firm registered in Uganda, with offices at Haruna Towers, 5th Floor, Ntinda, Kampala, Uganda. This policy explains how we handle personal information in the course of providing our services and operating this website.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need in order to respond to you and deliver the services you engage us for:

• Contact details you submit through our forms — your name, organisation, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
• Engagement information — the financial records, supporting documents and business information you provide so that we can perform accounting, audit, payroll or advisory work.
• Technical information — standard server logs including IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and functioning.

How we use your information

• To respond to enquiries and arrange consultations.
• To perform the professional services set out in our engagement letter with you.
• To meet our own legal, regulatory and professional obligations, including record-keeping and anti-money-laundering requirements.
• To improve the security and performance of this website.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use the details you submit through this site for unrelated marketing.

Confidentiality and disclosure

Client information is treated as confidential and is accessible only to the members of our team who need it to do the work. We disclose information to third parties only where you have instructed us to, where a regulator or court requires it by law, or where a professional obligation compels it.

How we protect your data

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to client records is role-based and logged, and backups run on a regular automated schedule. All staff are bound by professional confidentiality obligations that continue after their employment ends.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affecting your information ever occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities without undue delay.

How long we keep it

Engagement records are retained for the period required by Ugandan tax and companies legislation and by our professional standards — generally seven years from the end of the engagement. Enquiry messages that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within twenty-four months.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function, including a session cookie and a CSRF token that protects form submissions. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not embed third-party analytics or social widgets that would track you across sites.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Write to info@vandlet.com and we will respond within thirty days.
